Chaka at Lynn Memorial

Chaka looked good. Voice was just ok, bolstered by her backup singers. She claimed to have a scratchy throat, admitted to downing a hot toddy before coming out on stage and proceeded to shout out several f-bombs as she complained of her fatigue from being on tour. Band and background singers were very good. But overall, the show was very disappointing. Show continuity and programming were bad. Limited song list. Show didn't flow. Would sing one song and when song ended, it would be silent. Left the stage with her body guard for about 20 minutes with band playing. Thought she was doing a costume change, but came back in same clothes. Sang 3 more songs and abruptly left stage. From the way she was acting, it appeared she was high or intoxicated or something. The crowd tried to coax her to come back for an encore, but she never reappeared.
